Your Royal Majesty King Charles III, On Friday September 16th 2022, His Royal Majesty, Naa Bohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga II, King of the Mamprugu Kingdom and Naa Gbewaa Zuu sent a delegation to sign the book of condolence on the passing of Her Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II at the British High Commission in Accra. The delegation was led by, Wulugu-Naba Naa Professor John Sebiyam Nabila, Paramount Chief of the Wulugu Traditiona Area and eldest son of the Nayiri.  MAMPRUGU YOUTH ASSOCIATION - BAWKU CHAPTER FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  16TH SEPTEMBER, 2022 KUSASI YOUTH BREACHED THE "NO TO GUNS" AGREEMENT REACHED IN TAMALE We the Mamprugu Youth wish to condemn in no uncertain terms the Kusasi youth's breach of the "NO TO GUNS" pact reached at Tamale on 12th September 2022. The "NO TO GUNS" pact was an initiative that was spearheaded by the Honorable Ministers of Defence and Interior and the Acting Coordinator of National Security. The meeting was held between the youth of the Mamprusis and Kusasis at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale and an agreement was reached by both youth groups to work towards silencing the guns in Bawku. However, to our dismay and that of other stakeholders, immediately after the meeting, Kusasi Youth released over a dozen audios threatening to continue the gun violence. POLICE IN BAWKU ARREST A FINANCIER OF KUSASI BANDITS/TERRORISTS BY THE NAME IBRAHIM MOHAMMED AKA KWAKWA MOREY The police in Bawku in the early hours of 05th September, 2022 arrested a major financier and bankroller of the Kusasi bandits/terrorists by the name Ibrahim Mohammed aka Kwakwa Morey for illegal possession of a gun and live ammunition.  Kwakwa Morey who is the owner of Asongtabaa Bus Terminal in Accra parades himself as the Youth Chief of Kusasis in Accra. After his arrest, he said in his statement that the gun and ammunition belonged to Musah Abdulai who is a Kusasi NDC politician and one time MCE for Bawku Central between 2009 to 2012. This arrest on the morning after the gruesome murder of 2 innocent women highlights how the Kusasi bandits/terrorists are funded by key figures like Musah Abdulai and Kwakwa Morey. KUSASI BANDITS CONTINUE THEIR WAR AGAINST ALL TRIBES IN BAWKU The Kusasi bandits under the leadership of Aninchema Abugrago, Stephen Yakubu, Mahama Ayariga, Hassan Ayariga and others have continued their terrorism by killing two non-Mamprusis and severely injuring a third in less that 12 hours. The victims were gruesomly murdered on the evening of 4th September, 2022 at Azanga which is close to a a Kusasi enclave. The names of the victims are; 1. Mma Alaale who is about 80 years old and a Bissa by tribe. She was shot dead and her throat cut. Mma Alaale has been under the constant attacks of the Kusasi bandits under the instructions of Mahama Ayariga for several times with her house burnt in 2008 simply because she is a strong member of the NPP hence an ally to Mamprusis according to them. A careful reader of the said press release would observe that it is nothing but a compendium of dishonesty, misrepresentations, mockery of the families of the deceased, and a subtle commendation to his kinsmen for unleashing terror on innocent citizens.
