  A federal judge has sentenced   R. Kelly , who had been one of the most visible stars in music, to 30 years in federal prison, after being found guilty of sexually abusing a series of women, girls and boys. Kelly, 55, was in federal court in Brooklyn, N.Y., for the sentencing on the nine counts he was found guilty of in September 2021 including racketeering, transporting his victims across state lines for “immoral purposes,” a  violation  of the Mann Act. Judge Ann Donnelly said while sentencing Kelly that "“the public has to be protected from behaviors like this.”  She asked him if he would like to make a statement, which he declined.  "Yes your honor, that is my wish.” Prosecutors  sought at least 25 years  behind bars for Kelly, saying that he is a predator who used his celebrity to entice women into sexualy trysts with him, then psychologically and physically abusing them for years. Thank you for honoring our invitation at such short notice.  We all woke up to a press conference by a group calling itself kusaug youth movement in which they sought to malign Mamprusis for an alleged case of cattle rustling. First of all, we wish to advice the good people of Bawku especially all tribes living in the township to remain calm and not be provoked by the Kusasi presser. The presser and its content, especially within the times we find ourselves in, is a calculated attempt at provocation and we must not fall for it. We wish to draw the attention of the security to the incendiary remarks in the presser maligning a whole tribe and the potential of such to inflame passions.   June 20, 2022  A Japanese court ruled Monday that the country's ban on same-sex marriage does not violate the constitution, and rejected demands for compensation by three couples who said their right to free union and equality has been violated. The Osaka District Court ruling is the second decision on the issue, and disagrees with a ruling last year by a Sapporo court that found the ban on same-sex marriages unconstitutional. It underscores how divisive the issue remains in Japan, the only member of the Group of Seven major industrialized nations that does not recognize same-sex unions. In its ruling, the Osaka court rejected the plaintiffs' demand for 1 million yen ($7,400) in damages per couple for discrimination they face. The plaintiffs — two male couples and one female couple — were among 14 same-sex couples who filed lawsuits against the government in five major cities — Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Osaka — in 2019 for violating rights to free union and equality

After the 4-0 win over Montpellier, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about Gueye’s absence and said: “Idrissa made the trip to Montpellier, but for personal reasons he had to leave the match sheet. Major General Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Ansari, a Qatari security chief, has warned the LGBTQ fans against showing off rainbow flags during the World Cup at the end of the year. The official even says that the flags could be confiscated - not as a punishment but as protection, he insisted. "If he (a fan) raised the rainbow flag and I took it from him, it’s not because I really want to really take it, to really insult him, but to protect him," Al Ansari told Associated Press. "Because if it’s not me, somebody else around him might attack (him) … I cannot guarantee the behaviour of the whole people. And I will tell him: 'Please, no need to really raise that flag at this point.' "You want to demonstrate your view about the (LGBTQ) situation, demonstrate it in a society where it will be accepted. The purpose of the meeting, according to ADAM-GH, was to resolve issues among which were complaints of alleged military brutalities in Bawku.  First, we appreciate the interest with which the Military Command has attached to issues regarding the operations of their men in Bawku and the need to engage civil society organizations on the way forward. However, considering the fact that the group ADAM-GH has in recent times proven to be a discredited organization championing the ethnocentric agenda of its executive secretary Emmanuel Azubilla, we wish to make the following observations to serve as a guide to the Military High Command and the general public.  1.                               I will be using references from J.K.G Syme’s book (1932) “The Kusasis-A Short History”, T.E Hilton’s book (1962) “Transactions of the Historical Society of Ghana, Vol.VI”,  Captain R.S Rattray’s book (1932) “The Tribes of the Ashanti Hinterland” and the Mamprusis perspective. Before I continue, let me give you these three quotes by J.K.G Syme, Cpt.
