Major General Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Ansari, a Qatari security chief, has warned the LGBTQ fans against showing off rainbow flags during the World Cup at the end of the year. The official even says that the flags could be confiscated - not as a punishment but as protection, he insisted. "If he (a fan) raised the rainbow flag and I took it from him, it’s not because I really want to really take it, to really insult him, but to protect him," Al Ansari told Associated Press. "Because if it’s not me, somebody else around him might attack (him) … I cannot guarantee the behaviour of the whole people. And I will tell him: 'Please, no need to really raise that flag at this point.' "You want to demonstrate your view about the (LGBTQ) situation, demonstrate it in a society where it will be accepted. The purpose of the meeting, according to ADAM-GH, was to resolve issues among which were complaints of alleged military brutalities in Bawku.  First, we appreciate the interest with which the Military Command has attached to issues regarding the operations of their men in Bawku and the need to engage civil society organizations on the way forward.   I will be brief. I am not a lawyer and I do not intend to be one, at least for now. But every person with an iota of common sense will know that there is absolutely something wrong if you have to write 5 pages to explain a paragraph ruling that granted leave to discontinue a case. And more pitiful was the fact that eventhough you quoted the entire paragraph ruling in which there was ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION of who the rightful owner/chief is or even a mention of granting or dismissing the application, you still went ahead saying the ruling affirms so so and so as chief and owner of Bawku. The simple fact that you had to attempt "interpreting" the ruling should tell you and those who think like you that there was indeed no ruling on who a chief is. Because the court would have been clear rather than leaving space for you to come and write 5 pages "interpreting" what the ruling meant.  MAMPRUGU YOUTH ASSOCIATION - BAWKU CHAPTER 23/03/2022 DISREGARD ANY FINDINGS/COMMENTS FROM THE PURPORTED FACT-FINDING MISSION BY SIX (6) MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT  The Mamprugu Youth Association wishes to urge Government, Parliament, various stakeholders, and the general public to completely disregard any comments or findings that would be put out in the name of a fact-finding mission embarked by six members of Parliament from the eastern part of the Upper East Region. Everything about their mission on 22nd March 2022 is against the basic tenets of any credible fact-finding mission committed to finding pragmatic solutions to the decades-long conflict.
